application integration consulting covers items such as Business
Process Reengineering (BPR) configuration of functions related to
the global deployment of financials (FI), sales & distribution (SD),
materials management (MM), production planning (PP), controlling
(CO), and report generation.
IST is currently one of a few SAP* Certified Training Partners. This
status affords IST the ability to provide the entire suite of
technical SAP training courses to SAP customers, SAP new hires, SAP
Partner Academy trainees, as well as IST’s internal expert
consulting/training staff. Out technical training also encompasses a
multitude of training opportunities outside the scope of SAP’s
standard course offerings.
Technical infrastructure consulting addresses areas such as core
technical infrastructure planning, network bandwidth,
communications, IT project staffing & management, operating systems,
relational database technologies, organizational and change
management, backup and recovery, archiving, and computing security.
The primary software application that IST specializes in is SAP
(Systems, Applications, and Products) R/3. SAP R/3 is an enterprise
wide software computing solution that offers fully integrated
business processing in the areas of financials, controlling,
material management, sales & distribution, production planning and
human resources. This Enterprise Business Solution known as R3 is
currently dominating the market with over sixty- percent of the
global computing market -- This includes over 80 percent of the
Fortune 100 and over 50 percent of the Fortune 500.

Management and Organization
IST’s SAP prictice is managed by a very experienced SAP
professionals. Shelton James, a prior SAP Technical Project Manager
with more than 11 years of experience with SAP R/3 and more than 12
years of computing experience. Shelton has over four years of
management training and experience from The Procter & Gamble
Company. While with SAP Shelton served as one of the primary SAP
Basis instructor and Senior Basis consultant. Shelton served as
liaison and SAP strategist for several large SAP accounts within the
Ohio District. Shelton is the former Managing Director of the IST.
